8base needed to push cold email volume hard without affecting the transactional emails their platform depends on.

8base is a developer platform — their transactional email (signups, password resets, notifications) is a product dependency, and losing deliverability there would mean customer-facing failures. At the same time, their go-to-market motion needed aggressive cold outbound to reach developer audiences at volume.

We isolated the two completely: cold outbound runs on dedicated subdomains with its own pre-warmed IP pool, while their transactional sending stays on its own reputation rails. Even if cold outbound hits a complaint spike or a filtering event, transactional is untouched.

Getting things done more efficiently is a big part of what 8base is about. We understand the importance of fostering core capabilities without getting sidetracked a million times a day. Handling deliverability in-house would mean just that — it would have been a frustrating, roundabout way to achieve a goal. So, for our own peace of mind, we wanted someone as capable and savvy as Senders to take care of that for us.
