Parallel scaling of cold and lifecycle without channel cross-contamination

Parabola needed cold outbound to scale during a hypergrowth phase — in parallel with heavy Customer.io lifecycle email — without either side degrading the other.

Parabola is a data-automation SaaS that grew fast. During hypergrowth, both marketing email through Customer.io and cold outbound needed to scale simultaneously — and the usual risk is that one channel's sending behavior bleeds into the other's reputation.

We kept them cleanly separated. Cold outbound ran on dedicated subdomains and IPs, authenticated independently of their lifecycle stack, with its own monitoring. Customer.io continued to handle lifecycle email unaffected. Both scaled together without either channel inheriting the other's reputation risk.
